A 52-year-old man from Przeworsk in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship. As a result of peripheral arterial disease, he had to undergo amputation of both legs at the lower leg. He gets around using a wheelchair and is slowly learning to walk on prostheses. His passion is travelling to interesting places and exploring the world. Before his second amputation, he actively explored various parts of Poland and Europe. Thanks to the support of participants in the Poland Business Run 2026, he will take part in a rehabilitation stay that will help him gain confidence in moving around on prostheses. As he says, thanks to the stay, he will become independent in his daily activities, achieve the best possible physical fitness and learn correct movement patterns. Rehabilitation will also make it easier for him to pursue his passion.

A 68-year-old man from Kraków in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship. In 2025, he underwent an amputation of his left leg and currently uses a wheelchair, but his goal is to walk again with the help of a prosthetic leg. A post-amputation rehabilitation stay will help him achieve this, which he will be able to attend thanks to the runners of the Poland Business Run 2026. He is highly motivated to begin rehabilitation and do everything he can to improve his fitness and quality of life. His passion is woodworking. It has always given him immense satisfaction and a sense of peace. He would like to return to this activity, as it helps him maintain good mental health, motivates him to fight for his health, and gives him a sense of purpose and independence. As a pensioner, he has plenty of time, but above all a great desire to help others. He enjoys gardening, mowing the lawn and doing minor tasks around the house. These activities bring him joy, a sense of being needed, and help him stay physically fit. His great dream is also to go mushroom picking in the woods on his own again one day. He believes that, thanks to rehabilitation and the right prosthesis, he will be able to make this dream come true.

A 37-year-old woman from Knurów in the Silesian Voivodeship, who lost her leg to cancer when she was 15. She is a mother of two daughters and an active, energetic woman. Her disability has never held her back. She currently trains in Amp Football, plays for the Rekord Kuloodporni Bielsko-Biała team, and is a Polish international and World Championship bronze medallist. Marta shares her daily life on social media with a sense of perspective and humour, and is also involved in community work, supporting and motivating people who have undergone amputations. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time actively with her children, travelling and discovering new opportunities. The runners of the Poland Business Run 2026 will help co-finance her technologically advanced prosthetic leg, thanks to which she will be able to continue living life to the full.

A 56-year-old man from Mielec in the Podkarpackie Province. In 2025, he underwent an amputation of his right leg, which completely changed his life. Today, he is learning to live anew and believes he will be able to return to a normal life and independence. He is a cheerful, kind and selfless person who always helps those in need. He likes to go his own way, as it gives him a sense of freedom and allows him to pursue his dreams on his own terms. In his spare time, he loves getting in the car and exploring new parts of Poland. For him, the best way to relax and unwind is a visit to the swimming pool and sauna. He has been a football fan since he was a child, and he himself trained and played for several local clubs. He is also interested in the automotive industry and quality Polish cinema. Support from those running in the Poland Business Run 2026 will enable him to take part in a post-amputation rehabilitation stay, which will bring him closer to regaining his fitness.

A 33-year-old man from Połomia in the Podkarpackie Province. He was born without a fully formed left foot, which is why he has used a prosthesis to get around since childhood. He works in the technical sealing industry. As he points out, his work gives him a great deal of satisfaction, which is why he has continued to develop his skills in this field for years. Adam is interested in technology, particularly machining. His passions also include the automotive industry and car modification. Thanks to the runners of the Poland Business Run 2026, he will receive co-financing for a lower-leg prosthesis, which will enable him to continue developing professionally and pursuing his interests.

A 25-year-old woman from Kraków in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship. At the age of five, she was involved in a road accident, as a result of which her left lower leg was amputated. Since then, she has been using a prosthesis and leads an active life despite the challenges she faces. On her journey to regaining her mobility, she took up swimming, which became her passion. Sport is a very important part of her life – she loves rollerblading, cycling and longboarding, but snowboarding brings her the greatest joy. She also has a dog that requires training and long daily walks in the woods. It is a huge source of emotional support for her and motivates her to keep going. She loves travelling, and a good, functional prosthesis is absolutely essential for her. Thanks to the participants of the Poland Business Run 2026, Angelika will receive co-financing for a prosthesis tailored to her needs, which will give her greater comfort in her daily life and enable her to remain active. She recently completed her master’s degree and is just entering the job market; in the future, she would like to undertake postgraduate studies in psychotherapy so that she can help amputees and their loved ones navigate the adaptation process and find their place in their new reality.

A 53-year-old man from Głogów in the Lower Silesia Voivodeship. In 2025, he was involved in a road accident, as a result of which he had to undergo an amputation of his left leg above the knee. Before the accident, he worked as a mechanic in the military, and spent his free time on numerous camping trips. His passion is motorbikes, and he also enjoys sightseeing and learning about the history of castles. Today, he would like to return to these interests, as well as to his professional work and active participation in family life. Thanks to the runners of the Poland Business Run 2026, he will take part in a post-amputation rehabilitation stay, which will help him regain his mobility.

A 42-year-old woman from Chrzypsko Wielkie in the Wielkopolska Province, who had to undergo a thigh amputation of her right leg as a result of cancer. She is a working activist and the mother of a 7-year-old son. She has been involved in sport all her life: she loves playing volleyball, table tennis and cycling. She ran an amateur women’s volleyball team in her town, travelled to tournaments and refereed matches. She enjoys spending time actively with her family, going for walks, travelling and meeting new people, as well as taking photographs. Thanks to the support of the participants in the Poland Business Run, she will take part in another post-amputation rehabilitation programme, which will enable her to go for walks with her son more often, climb mountains on her prosthesis and return to her daily and professional life.
