Beneficiary Day 2022 is behind us!
After two years of pandemic, we finally had a chance to meet live with our Foundation's charges during an exceptional Beneficiary Day! On 11th June in the green area near Cracovia Hall in Krakow we organized a meeting for those who will receive (or have received in previous years) funding through the Poland Business Run.
Over 50 people took part in our Beneficiary Day picnic! Common barbecue and relaxed atmosphere allowed us to get to know our Beneficiaries better, and gave the participants the opportunity to integrate and talk with people with similar disabilities and experiences.
– We are glad that you are here with us and that we can tell you a little more about the activities of our Foundation. Once again, we would like to emphasize that it is the cooperation with business that allows us to provide you with support each year, whether in the form of subsidies for equipment, prostheses, or rehabilitation and psychological assistance. We have been able to do this for 11 years now, thanks to the companies participating in the Poland Business Run – said during the opening of the event Agnieszka Pleti, President of the Poland Business Run Foundation.
We prepared various sports activities for the beneficiaries, they could try their hand at archery, play table tennis, sit on a handbike and a sports cart for playing basketball. Yoga classes were also included in the program. There were also physiotherapists from the Centre Back on the Run who provided free consultations and took our guests for walks with Nordic walking sticks.
– I am on the Beneficiary Day for the first time and I am very happy that I managed to get there. Great atmosphere and attractions, I will certainly appear at the next meeting – one participant commented.
