Are we the only ones who feel that the quiet summer time is passing far too quickly?
Just recently, we have been gathering a group and encouraging people with disabilities to sign up for our annual camp, and already we are rushing to report on their wanderings in the picturesque Sudetes Mountains.
As you can probably guess, this summary could be spun like stories by a summer campfire, because our participants had plenty of attractions and adventures..
The camp took place in the Indian Village on the Bóbr River in Janiszow, and the very place of accommodation became an opportunity to learn about Indian culture and their daily life. Living in a tipi, our participants were able to really experience Indian life.
In the vicinity of the village, taking advantage of the surrounding nature, the camp participants hiked along Sudetes trails, through forests and meadows, along the Bóbr River, the shore of Lake Bukowski, along the trails of the Krucze Mountains and the Lubawa Gate Hills. All this with magnificent views of the Karkonosze Mountains, the Rudawy Janowickie and the Stone Mountains.
Our campers wanted these sights and smells to stay with them for longer. And we gave them that opportunity! At the end of the trip, they jointly prepared scented candles that hid flowers and herbs found during walks. And they were able to name the scents they created themselves and take them home with them.
While walking, they also learned to identify the tracks of wild animals, use the forest kitchen, determine the directions of the world or make a campfire.
In a nutshell, it was another unforgettable trip, and all those who are interested are invited to watch the report from Forest Summer Camp on Facebook.
We would like to thank our irreplaceable guides Asia and Tomek and the brave participants.
We cannot wait for the next trip already!
