International Paper supports Krakow Business Run
The mission of the Krakow Business Run is very well aligned with International Paper’s values. For years International Paper’s CSR team has been mobilizing our resources and employees to support the needs of communities where we live and work. Running for cause in Krakow Business Run supports people with disabilities and provides resources to help people overcome barriers. We believe this is a way of giving back to the cities that host our offices and production facilities.
At IP we also promote healthy lifestyle and well-being. We host a number of annual sport events like the Kwidzyn Papermaker’s Run (since 2010), and we offer educational sessions to our employees and external organizations through an internal employee volunteering program. The Krakow Business Run is a double win for us—we can give back to the community and promote physical fitness at the same time!
IP created one of the first business centers in Krakow in 2004, and from the beginning we fully endorsed the idea of integrating local businesses with city events – the city and businesses live in symbiosis, a mutually rewarding relationship that has to be cultivated with care.
According to our vision, IP strives to be among most successful, sustainable and responsible companies in the world. Supporting charity events like this is just one of the ways we are getting there.
