PBR the charity partner of Challenge Gdańsk!

The Poland Business Run Foundation has signed a cooperation agreement with Challenge Gdańsk, thanks to which triathlon participants will help PBR beneficiaries. The competition will take place on 14-16 June 2024 in Gdańsk. We invite you to sign up!

Challenge Gdansk is one of the most attractive triathlon events in Europe, with both professionals and amateurs competing together over three distances: 

• Sprint - 750 m swim, 20 km bike, 5 km run.
• Olympic - 1500 m swim, 40 km bike ride, 10 km run.
• Medium - 1900m swim, 90km bike ride, 21.1km run.

Each distance can be entered individually or in a relay. A triathlon relay is a team of two or three people in which the participants share the different stages of the race - swimming, cycling and running.  

- Our domain is relay running, but we know that triathlon is gaining popularity in Poland. For participants in the Poland Business Run, the main motivation is the charitable goal and support for people with physical disabilities and after mastectomy. Thanks to the cooperation with Challenge Gdańsk, we invite our runners to a relay race, in which they can also test themselves in swimming or cycling, but the goal remains the same - to support the beneficiaries of the PBR - emphasises Agnieszka Pleti, President of the Poland Business Run Foundation.

The Poland Business Run Foundation has become a charity partner of the triathlon competition, which means that PLN 100 from each purchased package of the business relay will be allocated to the purchase of wheelchairs, prostheses or specialist rehabilitation for the Foundation's charges.  

- From the very beginning we wanted Challenge Gdańsk to be charitable, so cooperation with the Poland Business Run is a natural thing for us. In addition to the triathlon competition as part of Challenge Gdańsk, we are also organising a recreational run for women, with the aim of helping children in a hospice. Sporting emotions, satisfaction from helping and good fun are the goals of our event! - adds Adam Greczyło, Challenge Gdańsk race director.

Challenge Gdańsk is an event that is very well appreciated by the participants themselves - the competition in its debut edition received the prestigious Race of The Year 2021 award, i.e. the best event in the world, in the vote of the competitors.

It is also an event for the whole family, as an accompanying event is the Aquthlon for children aged 7-17, a combination of swimming and running, as well as the aforementioned women's run.
