“A 42-year-old from Pilawa in the Lower Silesian province. Husband and father of three children. In 2020, as a result of a traffic accident, he damaged his spinal cord and became paralyzed. Since then, the wheelchair has been his indispensable tool, without which he could not function. He has always been very active and the accident did not change that. Over time, he has returned to professional and sports activities, as sports have been his passion since childhood. For the past 3 years he has been practicing wheelchair fencing in the wheelchair fencing section of Legia Warsaw. Every year he breaks the boundary of his disability more and more and tries new things. With the VeloAktiv group he took part in the Polish handbike championships. He also participates in sports and charity events, such as the Rally of the Hot Hearts and the Everyone to Paddle campaign. With his wife, he ran in the Warsaw Uprising Run. In 2024, he began his adventure in gliding, starting a glider pilot course. He hopes to complete it successfully and fulfill his childhood dream. After the accident, he also discovered new talents - he started painting and writing poems, which became the best form of self-rehabilitation. Thanks to the support from the Poland Business Run Foundation, he will be able to purchase a new wheelchair, and thus improve his daily comfort and increase his physical activity."

He dreams of being able to walk again without problems, spending more active time with his family and playing freely with his children, and returning to his job where he helps other people. Despite everything, he doesn't give up and fights to live his life as he used to, as much as possible. Thanks to the runners of PBR 2025, he will receive funding to purchase a prosthesis so that he can return to work and perform daily activities and responsibilities independently."
